Panther Explorer Unit

 

When 3rd Altrincham members leave Scouts, many of them join the district-based Panther Explorer Unit. The Unit is one of three explorer groups in the district and is made up of both members from 3rd Altrincham, 1st Halebarns and 4th Hale Scout Group.

 

The unit is very active, with a programme containing a wide range of activities. Climbing, shooting and kayaking are highlights within the programme, together with many core scouting activities such as backwoods cooking, first aid training, wide games and night hikes.  

 

The unit holds a series of  camps each year, where members get the chance to experience new activities and meet scouts from throughout the country.
